BRADENTON – At Thursday's Land Use Meeting, a proposal by Lake Lincoln, LLC to settle a lawsuit brought by the company against the county is scheduled for a vote.
The company has offered two settlement options. County attorney Mickey Palmer has recommended that both options be rejected.
Per the county: "The first option is phrased by Lake Lincoln in the proposed Settlement Agreement as the ”Land Use Concession Alternative“ and would require the County to hold adoption public hearings on the same amendment to the DRI Development Order and the Zoning Ordinance for the Tara DRI that was previously denied in 2010 along with a modified site plan for commercial uses.
"The second option is described by Lake Lincoln in the proposed Settlement Agreement as the ”Monetary Payment Alternative“ and would be in the amount of $2.4 million."
In other business for Thursday's meeting, two Level of Service Compliance certificates are up for extension votes.
The certificates are for Jarmarc Industrial Park, located between U.S. 301 and 301 Boulevard East, just north of 63rd Avenue East; and the Grayhawk Landing West subdivision located just north of State Road 64, between Mill Rune East and Greyhawk Landing West.
A Certificate of Level of Service Compliance verifies that a land development is being served up to established standards by public facilities. The resolution for Jarmarc Industrial Park would extend its certificate until March 2019, while the resolution for Greyhawk Landing West would extend its certificate until November 2018.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the Manatee Government Administration Building, located at 1112 Manatee Avenue West in Bradenton.
