Sounds of the Season Debuts Saturday on Old Main Street

Posted

BRADENTON — It will be snowing in downtown Bradenton  this Saturday, when Sounds of the Season, a new event that replaces Bradenton's long-running Winter Wonderland event, makes its debut from 5-10 p.m. on Old Main Street.

The hit movie Frozen will be screened at 6:00 p.m. right on Main Street, so bring the kids and a couple of blankets or chairs and enjoy the show.

Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Snow Queen, Disney's Frozen tells the story of a fearless princess who sets off on an epic journey alongside a rugged iceman, his loyal pet reindeer and a naive snowman hoping to find her estranged sister, whose icy powers have inadvertently trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.

Carolers will be strolling through Main Street singing the songs of the season, all of which will lead up to the lighted-boat parade on the riverfront.
