PALMETTO – On Saturday, area teens can enjoy a special entertainment event catered to only them by the Del Couch Music Foundation and Drug-Free Manatee. Taking place at the Bradenton Woman's Club, Saturday Night Rocks will feature musicians playing and boxes of fresh pizza for teens 14 and up.
The inaugural night for Saturday Night Rocks will start a series of events to be held on the last Saturday of every month. Musicians from Del Couch will be the ones providing aural entertainment at the event, which will feature Foundation star Matt Walden, Sarasota rockers Alone Together, and 2015 Rock for a Cause winner Paige Merriman.
Walden, who just returned from his The Coffeeshop (But Not Really) tour, said in a press release, "This tour was the best experience I’ve ever had. It was an eye-opener in every way. You learn how much work it takes to make these goals a reality, and why certain people come out to see you. It was the first time that I realized that people really care a lot about the music," said Walden in a press release.
The event starts at 7 p.m. Bradenton Woman's Club is located at 1705 Manatee Avenue West in Bradenton.
