BRADENTON – Haile Middle School is celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week with special activities designed to promote and highlight a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.
On Tuesday, October 27th, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (
MADD) will put on an interactive presentation for Physical Education classes throughout the school day emphasizing why students should avoid allowing alcohol into their lives. Also, each day, morning announcements will include interesting Drug and Alcohol Free Facts.
Finally, students at the school are invited to dress up each day and celebrate with the following themes:
Tuesday, October 27th - Catch the Wave of a Drug Free Life - Tacky Tourist Day
Wednesday, October 28th - TOO Smart to Start, I'm Drug Free - Crazy Hat Day
Thursday, October 29th - Sock-It to Drugs - Socks and Slides Day
Friday, October 30th - Be a Super Hero - Have the Power to Say No to Drugs - Costume Day
Proceeds from the Spirit Days will benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s underage drinking prevention programs and victim services.
