TAMPA - The
National Science Foundation now ranks the
University of South Florida number 25 in its annual national list research spending done by of public universities, according to the foundation.
The ranking puts USF up two spots from last year. The information released by NSF also ranks the university as 41st in a list that includes both public and private institutions in the U.S., and in second place in the state of Florida.
In a statement, Paul R. Sanberg, USF senior vice president for research, innovation and economic develop, said, "This ranking is a tribute to the accomplishments of our researchers and partners in the region and state. It reflects real world research that is making an impact through new knowledge, products, companies, economic growth and jobs."
