Stone Crabs Stomp Marauders 6-1

Posted

PORT CHARLOTTE – Nathan Adcock has emerged to become the Marauder's ace on the mound, but he had a tough go of it last night in Port Charlotte, giving up 6 runs on 8 hits, in 5 1/3 innings work, falling to a still impressive 7-3. The Marauder bats were quiet again, spreading 5 hits thinly enough to score only a single run, as they fell by a score of 6-1.

This sets up an important game tonight at McKechnie, as Palm Beach has pulled ahead by one game in the second half standings. Come watch the Cardinals and the Marauders do battle at 6 p.m., immediately followed by a sensational fireworks display. The Marauders continue to push for the second-half playoff spot and are off to a good start, despite nagging injuries and several players lost to promotion.
