Teresa A. (Petitt) House was born on October 9, 1961, in Alexandria, VA. She passed away peacefully at Tidewell Hospice House in Lakewood Ranch, FL, surrounded by her loved ones on September 16, 2024, at 62 years old.
She grew up in Fairfax County, VA, where she still has many friends and family. She later moved to Myakka City, FL, with her husband, Steve, and her two children, Danielle and Wesley. She spent the next 30 years in Florida raising her family and working as an Office Manager. She loved her family more than anything in this world. She was her husband, Steve's, biggest fan. Danielle and Wesley were the lights of her life. But the love she had for her grandbabies, Kaia, Conor, Claire, and Teagan just may have trumped them all. She played the role of Nonnie like it was her job and she enjoyed every single second with them. She was so proud of her family, all of them.
Teresa leaves behind many broken hearts. To say she was loved by all who knew her would be the best way to put it. She was kind, loving, patient, and caring… The best daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Nonnie anyone could ever ask for.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Petitt Jr. She is survived by her husband, Steven House, of Myakka City, FL; mother, Stella Petitt of Lorton, VA; daughter, Danielle Wildman of Myakka City, FL; son, Wesley Wildman of Bradenton, FL; daughter-in-law, Anna Wildman of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Kaia Wildman of Myakka City, FL, and Conor, Claire, and Teagan Wildman of Bradenton, FL; brother, Charles "Chuck" Petitt III of Lorton, VA; sister, Dawn Kane of Lorton, VA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
A Celebration of Life will be 11 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd St. W. Bradenton, FL 34209. Family and friends are invited to gather at 10:30 a.m. where visitation will begin at 10:30 AM.
