Bradenton, Florida - Theresa Eileen Gibson, 95, formerly of Bradenton, died July 16, 2024, in Ohio.
Eileen was born in Akron, Ohio, and was a graduate of St. Vincent High School in Akron. She took community college courses at St. John College in Cleveland, accounting and finance courses at Sinclair Community College in Dayton and was a graduate of the Realtors' Institute at The Ohio State University. She was a bookkeeper, secretary and real estate agent in the Dayton area for many years.
She and her husband wintered in Bradenton for many years before moving here permanently in 2017. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society's Reach to Recovery Program, Tidewell Hospice and Manatee Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradenton.
Survivors include sons Edward, Alan (Alicia) and Rory (Janet); a daughter, Laura (Mark) Hertenstein; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles; and a grandson, Luke Hertenstein.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday August 8, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradenton.
