This Week in Local Government: October 20-24, 2014

MANATEE COUNTY – The Manatee Tourist Development Council will meet Monday morning. Later that day, the Palmetto City Commission will workshop then hold a meeting. Tuesday, the BOCC, CRA and Port Authority will all meet in a 7 hour marathon session. During the BOCC's meeting, commissioners will vote on approval of repealing and revoking the CRA's South County and 14th Street West Community Redevelopment Areas, as well as repealing and terminating a blight study on the latter area. The Bradenton City Council will have its monthly evening meeting on Wednesday, when it will vote on final subdivision plat approval of Tidewater Preserve No. 7 from the consent agenda, and an ordinance containing text amendments to the city's form-based code that include modifications to signage standards to the Village of the Arts district.
