Pennie Jean Chiaramonte, 50, Bradenton, passed away Oct. 4, 2014. She was born Aug. 12, 1964 in North Adams, MA to Charles William and Joan (Luzynski) Fletcher.

Pennie moved to Bradenton at a very young age. She served during Desert Storm with the U.S. Army.

She was predeceased by her father Charles W. Fletcher, and is survived by her three daughters Rebecca Jean (Brian) Powers of Dothan, AL, Amber Lynn Imes New Orleans, LA, Venecia Rae Nadeau of Bradenton, mother; Joan Fletcher of Bradenton, two brothers; Larry (Joann) Fletcher of Florala, AL, Randy Fletcher of Parrish, six grandchildren and one on the way.

Private family services will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery with final honors by the U.S. Army. Condolences for the family may be made online at www.shannonfuneralhomes.com.

Charlene Scaff Freddes, 74, Bradenton, was called to be with her maker after a long illness on October 8, 2014. Charlene was born on May 30, 1940, in Memphis, TN, to the parents of Mary Jane and Charles Scaff. She Attended Frayser High School in Memphis, TN. Charlene was residing in Bradenton and was married to Francis E. Freddes.

Charlene had been in the care giving business for 31 years. She had previously been at Comfort Keepers and Golden Pond. Charlene was also a hurricane shelter coordinator with the Red Cross. She was also on the board with Meals on Wheels.

Charlene was involved with many charitable and political organizations as well as community organizations. She also attended Samoset First Baptist Church and also Calvary Baptist Church. She will be missed by the many friends and family in both in Memphis and Florida. 

Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Griffith of Memphis, TN; her father, Charles Scaff of OH; her son, Johnny Lucas of Newfoundland; her brother, Raymond Bowers of Memphis, TN; grandparents, Dovie & Willie Kyle of Memphis, TN; her cousin, Joe Bishop of Memphis, TN. Charlene is survived by her husband, Francis ''Frank'' Freddes; her son, Richard ''Rick'' Raymond Lucas; her daughter, Stephanie D. Hooks; step-children, James F. Freddes; Marybeth (Ken) Zurcher; Jonathan G. (Lisa) Freddes; Matthew S. (Beth) Freddes Mark (Sharon) Freddes; siblings, Lois Bailey & Doug Scaff; granddaughter, Whitney Hooks whom she helped raise and eight other grandchildren; six great grandchildren; 16 nieces and nephews.

Sally L. Mato, age 76, of Bradenton, FL, passed into God's hands on October 5, 2014, at her home with her husband and children present. Sally was committed to her husband and family; an eternal optimist; and an enthusiastic lover of life. Sally Lynn Heintzelman was born September 10, 1938, in Meadville, PA to MaryCeleste (Rodgers) and Robert Grady Heintzelman.

Raised in Pittsburgh with her three sisters, Sally graduated from Bellevue High School in 1956. She became a long distance telephone and teletype operator for American Tel and Tel in 1956, before marrying Thomas Mato, Sr. on December 29 of that same year. Sally raised three children in Greenbelt, MD and also worked at St. Hugh's Rectory from 1966 to1974. After moving to Maine with her family in 1974, Sally opened her ceramics business, Ceramic Corner, which she owned and operated from 1979 to 2000.

Sally retired to Florida with husband Tom in 2000, where she enjoyed hosting friends and family at their Bradenton home; knitting and crafts; and staying in touch with her constantly growing family. Sally was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Sally was quick to laugh, full of fun, and will be dearly and forever missed. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas J. Mato, Sr.; daughters, Elizabeth A. Ewart (David Boucher) of Olney, MD and Tracy L. Morton of Raymond, ME; and her son, Thomas J. Mato, Jr (Gayle) of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by her sisters, Roberta Gibble and Joey Long; granddaughters, Penny Collins (Nicholas) and their two children; Shannon Belaney (Corey) and their three children; and Emma Mato; and grandsons,  Nicholas C. Morton (Danielle) and their child, and Stephen Mato. Sally also leaves behind loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Patricia.

Services to be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Brown and Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, located at 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209. Memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238. Tidewell was wonderful to Sally and her family. Condolences to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
