Three Free Nature Programs at Manatee County Preserves Next Week

Tuesday 12th, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM – MANATEE AUDUBON SOCIETY BIRDING TOUR – Search the skies for Florida’s fabulous fliers! Birder Lucette Wombacher will lead participants on a tour through Emerson Point’s coastal hammock and mangrove habitats. Thursday 14th, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM – SUN STYLE TAI CHI – Discover the ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi in the beautiful outdoor surroundings of Robinson Preserve. Sensei Brian Nell will lead participants through a gentle Qigong warm up and the short form of Sun Style Tai Chi. This gentle martial art form will help relieve stress from a long workday. Health benefits of Tai Chi include promotion of balance control, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and much more. Program is suitable for all ages. Flowers, fish, birds, and butterflies - the natural world is full of exciting colors just waiting to be discovered. Bring your child to learn about the basics of colors with hands-on activities, stories, and games. Program suitable for children age 5 and under. Reservations are required!
