PALMETTO — "Heart of the Song", an evening music event for the benefit of music scholarship, mentoring and educational programs, is coming to Palmetto on Friday, April 17. Organized by the Del Couch Music Foundation, the concert will be nestled in the 27-acre horse ranch Victoria Forest.

The special concert will feature two rocking blues sets and a pair of American Idol singing sensations and guitarists: Rick Derringer, accomplished singer-songwriter and rock n' roll musician; rock and country cover band The Billy Rice Band; New Hampshire native Alex Preston, and Bradenton's own (and Del Couch standout) Sam Woolf. Preston and Woolf performed and were top 5 finalists in American Idol's thirteenth season.
Special music guests are to be announced. The event is for adults age 21 or over. Individual tickets are $125; tables come with 10 tickets, sponsorship of the Bradenton Area American Idol Competition, and company logo on the Foundation's website with a link. Name recognition at the event is $2,000 per table of 10. More information can be found at the foundation's website.
The Del Couch Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving music educational and creative opportunities in the form of music to young people. The foundation has a large emphasis on reaching out to underprivileged kids, and works with other local organizations such as the Boys and GIrls Clubs, the YMCA and the Palmetto Youth Center.
