MANATEE--One of the most popular Christmas traditions for people in Bradenton and Sarasota has become spending part of the holiday at the Crosley Estate to see ”Dickens at the Crosley.“ The show is a combination of music, theatre and improvisation that encourages audience interaction with the performers. The Bradenton Times spoke with the show’s director Gary Mazzu in this video interview posted below.
Gary Mazzu is one of the most in-demand and busiest actor/directors working in theatre. In addition to being the Artistic Director of the Powel Crosley Theatre Company for the past seven years, he has also served as the Artistic Director for the Colorado Renaissance Festival since 1984. Mr. Mazzu has produced ”Shakespeare at the Crosley“ in the past and plans to do that again in 2012.
”Dickens at the Crosley“ runs December 15 through December 28 with matinees at 2:00 p.m. and evening performances at 7:30 p.m. For more information please visit the Powel Crosley Theatre website by clicking here.
