Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones
Cottonmouth Southern Soul Kitchen

Doug Deming & the Jewel Tones play traditional blues, West Coast and Texas swing, and early '50s roots rock. Deming is an American blues and roots guitarist/vocalist, earning a Blues Blast Music Award nomination for Best Blues Band in 2013 and 2019. They also reached No. 3 on Billboard’s blues albums chart for their 2018 record Complicated Mess. Accompanied by bassist Andrew Goham (formerly of the Bottom Feeders), and percussionist Zack Pomerleau (a seasoned musician born and raised in Auburn, Maine), this trio is rockin' rhythm & blues. No cover.

About the Venue:
Located in Bradenton Village of the Arts, Cottonmouth Southern Soul Kitchen has quickly become one of Bradenton, Florida’s more popular outdoor music venues. Music is hosted on their intimate 80-seat capacity patio garden, a perfect setting under the branches of towering live oaks in the heart of VOTA. Known for his eclectic southern dining, Chef Dave Shiplett puts his creative spin on southern classics serving up his brand of southern soul food in this 100-year-old cottage that doubles as an art gallery. Hot Club of SRQ
CafŽ in the Park
Friday: 7-9 p.m.

Hot Club of SRQ plays gypsy jazz deeply rooted in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. This trio's music simply swings and is full of beauty and romance. The Hot Club of SRQ’s sound can best be described as a 21st-century hybrid of the famous Quintette du Hot Club de France. The likeness of these two ensembles is the violin and guitar that makes their music so captivating. Another likeness is the infectious groove known as La Pompe, which literally means the pump, and is an unmistakable hard-swinging rhythmical characteristic of this music. This style of swing jazz is more accessible to a broader audience. No cover.

Located in Payne Park, downtown Sarasota, Cafe in the Park captures the spirit of a quintessential urban cafe terrace. It's the perfect place for a great coffee, a fresh sandwich, and live music. The family-friendly spot has menu selections of healthy cafŽ-style food, non-alcoholic beverages, beer, and wine, all served in a community park setting. Truly a great place to catch a live show. Sophisticated blues, a hint of jazz, and hot guitar define Kat Crosby and the Rhythm Gators. As lead singer and songwriter, Kat Crosby presents blues from a woman’s perspective. From songs that celebrate the man she loves to songs from a woman’s perspective of the world around her, Crosby's playlist is a combination of original music and storytelling and carefully chosen cover songs. An experienced and nationally recognized band that has played numerous festivals and other venues together for more than 20 years. No cover.

About the Venue:
Mattison's Riverwalk Grille is located along Bradenton's Riverwalk Park downtown. Mattison's and its staff pride themselves on their commitment to using sustainable practices and serving only foods that are hormone and antibiotic-free. They work with small family farms and source their produce and seafood locally. While their food draws a crowd, their live music gets them on their feet–the outdoor dining patio is spacious with plenty of room for dancing! 101 Riverfront Blvd, Bradenton.

Kat Crosby and the Rhythm Gators

The Monsoons

The Monsoons are a Sarasota-based party band blending the funkiness of New Orleans with good old rock n' roll. Drummer Pat McDonald spent nearly two decades touring with the world-famous Charlie Daniels Band. Lead guitarist and vocalist Steve Junot is a seasoned musician from New Orleans who toured internationally with a zydeco band, as well as having performed countless solo shows. Bassist and vocalist Chris Guertin boasts a career that has taken him to over 90 countries as music director of cruise ships while also having performed as either band member or special guest bassist and vocalist in several locally favored bands. The three members form an experienced and professional trio, toss in their brand of charm and humor, and together the three create the perfect conditions for a good time. No cover.

Founded in 2001, Gilligan’s Island Bar prides itself on serving quality food, cocktails, and great service. The venue hosts live music on its front deck, and offers back patio seating, a tiki bar, and a fire pit for cooler nights. Hymn For Her has toured across the country and abroad over the years, injecting juiced-up backwoods country blues with a dose of desert rock psychedelia that has been described as "Hell’s Angels meets the Amish," and "Hillbillies with electronics opening Pandora's Box." The beloved duo, comprised of Lucy Tight and Wayne Waxing, deliver listeners folk songs with a deep roots vibe. Their instrumentation, while simple, is the perfect backing to Lucy's moving vocals and Waxing's tight harmonies. Cover $5, reservations can be made by calling (941) 243-3735.

Stillhouse Shakers
Jiggs Landing Outpost
Saturday: 5-8 p.m.

The Stillhouse Shakers are a string band based in the Tampa Bay area. The trio strives to authentically represent the music of America's past while blending their own unique styles into a high-energy show, filled with history, hilarity, and a wide variety of folk, fiddle, blues, ballads, and "breakdowns." The band is comprised of award-winning musicians who come from all over the country. Floridian Tyler Nall on fiddle, Tennessee native Camden Pugh on banjo, and Holly Foss from Minnesota on guitar. About the Venue:
Jiggs Landing Outpost is located inside the Manatee County Park Jiggs Landing. The outpost features a public boat ramp, fishing, cabin rentals, kayak and canoe rentals, bait shop, and small cafe–but they are also a live music venue! The outdoor venue is on the Evers Reservoir and Braden River with prime views of the sunset. Enjoy a beautiful natural venue in a historic area in the heart of East Manatee. Fire branded in the Chicago blues circuit, roots-rocker and bluesman RJ Howson picked up his skillful guitar chops performing and sharing the stage with blues icons and fellow musicians at Buddy Guy’s Legends, Rosa's Lounge, Kingston Mines, BLUES on Halstead, and many other clubs in the Windy City as well as countless other venues across the Midwest. RJ continues to be steeped in the southern stews since moving to Florida, with openers for Butch Trucks & the Freight Train Band, Dickey Betts & Great Southern, the Atlanta Rhythm Section, Molly Hatchet, Buddy Guy, and a host of other legendary musicians. Having played music beginning in his youth, RJ has played everything from Chicago Blues to funk, soul, rock, gospel, country, salsa, and World Music.

Singer-songwriterPedro Arevalois a multi-instrumentalist who joined Dickey Betts and Great Southern as a bassist in 2004. Pedro toured internationally with the bands The Lotus Fire and Honeytribe. More recently and locally, Arevalo performs in a duo project titled Pedro & Zooey, with vocalist and violinist, Zooey Seraphine. Besides bass, Arevalo has performed on an array of other stringed instruments (slide, lap steel, dobro, and Puerto Rican cuatro) with numerous other acts, including Brethren of the Coast (a project co-founded with Duane Betts). Arevalo has recorded on numerous albums with other artists, as well as albums of his own original music, blending his love of Delta blues, Americana, jazz, and world music.

RJ and Pedro will be joined on stage by guitarist Nate Howell and Garrett Dawson on drums. No cover.

Rye Road
Motorworks Brewing

This Saturday, Rye Road will return to the beer garden stage of Motorworks Brewing. Rye Road has been rocking audiences up and down the Gulf Coast of Florida for over a decade. Their sound is a unique blend of new country and rock. The band features Pete Tamburin’s emotional vocals and country-influenced guitar, drummer Dan Garrido’s solid rhythms and amazing high harmonies, the energetic and booming bass lines of Bryant Crawford, and the soaring keyboards of Tim Meyer. Catchy, accessible melodies under lyrics that everyone can relate to, a sound sure to rock and move you! No cover.

Since its opening in 2014, Motorworks Brewing has become one of the most awarded breweries in Florida, with over 22 national and international medals. With 20+ beers on draught, a full liquor bar, an expansive wine collection, and a rotating batch of seasonal and specialty brews available in the taproom, Motorworks is a great place to join friends for a fresh pint of beer or a cocktail. Rye Road Band

Kettle of Fish has been performing in clubs, pubs, and venues across Manatee and Sarasota, as well as across Florida and the U.S., for years. Lead singer, guitarist, and band founder Dana Lawrence is one of the area’s favorite singer-songwriters. Kettle of Fish is a band with an ever-fluid rotation of talented local and guest musicians.

Over their years of performing, Kettle of Fish has shared the stage with numerous bands and musicians including Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Roger Waters’ Band, Devon Allman, Pat Travers, Damon Fowler, and Dickey Betts. They have also played opening performances for artists such as Eddie Money, Molly Hatchet, Elvin Bishop, Tommy Castro, Trombone Shorty, the Marshall Tucker Band, Jimmy Buffett (at the famous Blue Heaven in Key West), and many more. Kettle of Fish delivers a sound that is a rootsy "blues rock with soul" that works to bring together soulful blues with the energy of rock n’ roll. No cover.

About the Venue:
East of I-75 on Fruitville Road, Stottlemyer’s Smokehouse is an open-air barbecue restaurant set under an expansive outdoor tiki hut, including an old-Florida-style tiki bar. Established by the Stottlemyer family, the family-friendly restaurant and live music venue serves slow-cooked brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sandwiches and salads, and a unique atmosphere. Tim McCaig returns for Motorwork’s brunch show with a Neil Diamond tribute performance. Tim Michael McCaig has been in the entertainment business for over 30 years. An award-winning singer, guitarist, and piano player, McCaig impresses audiences from coast to coast performing in a wide array of venues. From 5-Star hotels such as The Breakers in Palm Beach (19 years members club in-house musician) to sold-out Neil Diamond Tribute shows. His versatility and style are reflected in his performances of artists such as Johnny Cash, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Van Morrison, Frank Sinatra, Springsteen, and many more.
