Thomas Maxwell Winn, 81, of Palmetto, FL., passed away on March 13, 2023.
Thomas was born in Riceboro, GA but spent most of his life in the Bradenton/Palmetto area. He was a commercial fisherman in Cortez, Florida, and a dedicated sports fan of the Tampa Bay Bucs and Rays.
Thomas is survived by his wife Salli Winn, daughters Brooke, Maggie, Kris, Kelly and sons: Tom and Cory; grandchildren: Breon, Bailey, Luke, Hope, Haidyn, Alberto, Braden, April, Amy, Trisha, Tyler, Savanah, and Lane, siblings Mel and Rita; and a host of other family and friends. Thomas was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
Gone Fishing
I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.
Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won’t be long you will see,
Till we’re together you and me.

Be happy as I go out to sea.
