BRADENTON — It's a big weekend for music across Bradenton and Sarasota this weekend. Sarasota’s favorite synth-rock band MeteorEYES is coming to downtown Bradenton, while Have Gun, Will Travel will mark the Friendly City’s Birthday with a show in the Village of the Arts. TEN-76 will take to Motorwork’s beer garden stage, Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones drop its newest live release, and the Damon Fowler Band returns to the Big Top!… and there’s more where that came from! Motorworks Brewing
Friday: 7-11 p.m.
TEN-76 is a high-energy rock band covering classic rock, punk and modern rock. Formed during the pandemic in 2020, the 5-piece is composed of local musicians ranging in age from 18-21—but don’t let their ages fool you, this band comes with tons of talent and stage presence to impress. From its Lakewood Ranch home base, TEN-76 has been increasing its local exposure, performing from a growing list of local venue stages, while also growing its fanbase to more than 1.5k Facebook followers.
Composed of female lead singer, Lauren Wampler, joined by Gavin Burns on guitar and vocals, Kyle Wampler on rhythm guitar and vocals, drummer Tyler Strum, and bassist Matthew Gilkison, the young group has also volunteered their talents and time for multiple local charities helping to raise funds to support causes such as breast cancer awareness, fire victims, veterans, first responders, and children in need.
The band performs an ever-expanding setlist of covers from 80s/90s rock, classic and punk rock, including music from Blink 182, Van Halen, Guns n Roses, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, and more. This up-and-coming local band is totally worth checking out! No cover.

Since its opening in 2014, Motorworks Brewing has become one of the most awarded breweries in Florida, with over 22 national and international medals. MeteorEYES
OSCURA
Friday: 7-11 p.m.
Sarasota alternative synth-rock band MeteorEYES will perform this Friday at OSCURA, with accompanying performances by Movie Props and Stick the Landing.
Led by Sarasota's mystical vocal powerhouse Shannon Fortner, MeteorEYES brings a musical experience of its own design. The three-piece electro-rock-synth-pop group includes drummer David Warren Curran and guitarist George Bikos.
As the Founder of Harvey Milk Festival, now FabAF, Fortner and her bandmates are known for combining their talents, music, and activism in order to create fellowship and share a message of acceptance of both self and one another within the community.
MeteorEYES’s lush synth landscapes and driving post-punk energy draw listeners into a world transformed. Veiled in mystery, the original music invites audiences to question the masks we all wear in society, while boldly daring to create a fellowship of solidarity toward basic human equality.
About the Venue:
OSCURA is "the place to go for wet drinks, hot food, and good music." Since reopening last year as a reimagined coffee café and music venue in the historic neighborhood of Old Manatee, it has become one of music fans' top places to be in Bradenton. Have Gun, Will Travel
Birdrock Taco Shack

What better way to celebrate Bradenton’s 120th birthday than with your favorite local band, Have Gun, Will Travel in Bradenton's Village of the Arts? The nationally acclaimed Alternative rock/folk band known for its indie rock, classic country, hints-of-punk, Americana sound will perform at Birdrock this Friday night.
Born of Bradenton, references to its hometown roots can be found tucked into several of its original songs, with a direct nod in the title of its 2009 album, Postcards from the Friendly City. Its most recent and highly anticipated album, Silver Sounds, delivered to fans another tribute to Bradenton with "The ballad Our Fair City."
Formed in 2006, the band's members consist of brothers Matt Burke (singer-guitarist) and Daniel Burke (bassist), and longtime friends guitarist Scott Anderson, drummer JP Beaubien, and keyboardist Edward Stork. Lead vocalist Matt Burke's songwriting draws on Western themes of life and death, honor, and morality throughout the band's narrative songs. Cover is $5.

Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones

Join Doug Deming & the Jewel Tones for a special CD release party at Cottonmouth this Saturday! The local West Coast Swing and blues band’s new live album Groovin’ at Groove Now! was recorded live at the Atlantis Basel during the Groove Now! concert series in Basel, Switzerland. This dynamic and energetic performance by Doug Deming & the Jewel Tones promises to be the live recording longtime fans of the band have been waiting for. Guest musicians and award-winning saxophonists Terry Hanck and Sax Gordon, as well as renowned keyboardist Bill Heid, joined the trio for this special live recording.
Band leader Deming is an American blues and roots guitarist/vocalist, having earned a Blues Blast Music Award nomination for Best Blues Band in 2013 and 2019. The band also reached No. 3 on Billboard’s blues albums chart for their 2018 record Complicated Mess. Accompanied by bassist Andrew Goham (formerly of the Bottom Feeders), and percussionist Zack Pomerleau (a seasoned musician born and raised in Auburn, Maine), this trio is rockin' rhythm & blues. Located in Bradenton Village of the Arts, Cottonmouth Southern Soul Kitchen has quickly become one of Bradenton’s more popular outdoor music venues. Known for his eclectic Southern dining, Chef Dave Shiplett puts his creative spin on Southern classics serving up his brand of Southern soul food in this 100-year-old cottage that doubles as an art gallery. Jack’D UP is a multi-award-winning male and female-fronted rock band. In 2021, the group reformed with two new members and then received 3 different Reader Choice Awards as best band. The band consists of five talented musicians that have a blast playing live music (NO backtracks!). With four vocalists sharing songs, stellar harmonies, two incredible guitarists, and a driving rhythm section, every song gets you up and dancing.
What sets the band apart from others is the energy, fun, and excitement that comes off the stage and is instantly handed over to the dancing crowd. Each performed song includes the artist’s sound signatures, just like the original recording. No cover.

Over its years of performing, Kettle of Fish has shared the stage with numerous bands and musicians including Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Roger Waters’ Band, Devon Allman, Pat Travers, Damon Fowler, and Dickey Betts, and they have played opening performances for artists such as Eddie Money, Molly Hatchet, Elvin Bishop, Tommy Castro, Trombone Shorty, the Marshall Tucker Band, Jimmy Buffett (at the famous Blue Heaven in Key West), and many more.
Led by lead singer, guitarist, and band founder Dana Lawrence, Kettle of Fish delivers a sound that is a rootsy "blues rock with soul" that works to bring together soulful blues with the energy of rock n’ roll. If you like the sound of the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Otis Redding, Robert Cray, the Neville Brothers, Buddy Guy, Stevie Wonder, the Allman Brothers, or The Grateful Dead, you will love Kettle of Fish. Damon Fowler Band

The Damon Fowler Band returns to the Big Top for Sunday Blues and Brews! Fowler is a masterful singer, guitarist, and songwriter. His music is representative of the many styles that make up the roots of American music. Critics have compared Fowler's guitar work to Johnny Winter and Jeff Beck, while his slide guitar is reminiscent of the late Duane Allman. Fowler is known for his fiery guitar runs, while his lyrical work on lap steel and dobro makes him a stand-out performer among guitar heroes.
The Florida native's hybrid of roots rock, blues, songwriting, and vocals has earned him professional accolades from fellow artists and music journalists alike and a nomination for the 2022 Blues Music Awards.

Moore Dirty Band
Mandeville Beer Garden

The Sarasota-based jam band performs blues, R&B, funk, jazz, rock, southern rock, and more. Moore Dirty Band is fronted by Thorson Moore (electric guitar and vocals), and joined by talented musicians Damon Owens (percussion/drums), Andrew Glasgow (electric bass), and Rafael Ruffus (keys, sax, flute, clarinet, melodica).
Guitarist and vocalist Thorson Moore is best known for his distinctive tone and invaluable guitar skill. The guitarist began as a drummer but later evolved into a highly experienced professional guitar player. Having performed and recorded with various bands and artists, played to festival crowds, and released an album of his own in 2014 entitled Mr. Nobody, Thorson is a guitarist who carries a reputation not built upon raw talent and a genius intuition of music alone, but years of impassioned dedication to the instrument. Located in the heart of downtown Sarasota’s Rosemary District, Mandeville Beer Garden offers a rotating selection of local craft, domestic and import beers as well as a wine menu and full liquor bar.
