34th Annual Springfest Art Festival Returns to AMI

ANNA MARIA – This weekend, March 19 and 20, the Annual Springfest Art Festival returns to Holmes Beach. Hosted by the Anna Maria Island Art League, the 34th annual event is a combination of fine art, education, entertainment, and food.
Eighty professional artists and craftspersons from across the United States will gather in Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island for the juried event. Artists will display hand-crafted ceramics, jewelry, prints and paintings, and other fine art.Also exhibiting will be community organizations that include various historical and environmental groups with information about their groups and causes.
Sponsored by the Anna Maria Island Art League the festival features art and craft booths, live music, a variety of food and beverage, the Young at Art Exhibit, and a raffle. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Artwork is donated by festival exhibitors for the gala raffle, offering anyone a chance to collect a great piece of art for a small donation. Proceeds benefit the AMI Art League’s Scholarship Fund, which provides classes to children and adults.
Springfest runs Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free. 5801 Marina Drive, City Hall Field, Holmes Beach, Anna Maria Island.
Each year the Anna Maria Art League recognizes artist participants with awards in the categories of Best of Show, Awards of Distinction, and Awards of Merit. Youth participants of the Young in Art exhibit are also recognized at the event.Award recipients receive ribbons and cash prizes.
