LAKEWOOD RANCH– ALDI will offer east county residents another option for groceries with a new store at 7214 University Parkway in Lakewood Ranch. The new location is part of the company’s aggressive nationwide growth. The grocer is on track to open 150 new stores and become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of 2022.
The Germany-based discount grocery chain, which is known for high-quality at low prices, already has four Manatee County locations; one on Cortez Road West, another on U.S. 41 South, one in Palmetto, and one on State Road 70 and Lockwood Ridge Rd. The new Lakewood Ranch store opens on Thursday, July 7, at 9 a.m. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of ALDI Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card.
