ARIELLA to Perform Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center

Posted
SARASOTA – WSLR+Fogartyville will host talented musical duo, ARIELLA. The show will take place at the Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center on Friday, March 4, 2022.

Hailing from Sarasota, Florida, charismatic singer-songwriter Ariella McManus pairs with Fredonia, New York guitar maestro Nicolaas Kraster. The two–who began performing together in 2009–combine stunning vocal melodies with exceptional musical accompaniment to produce an immersive sound experience for listeners.

Formerly performing as a five-piece band, ARIELLA has returned renewed as a more intimate and delicate performance. Together the two experienced musicians continue to showcase the same passionate inspirations of jazz, blues, rock, soul, and more–maintaining the direct and edgy sound that ARIELLA has become most recognized for.

Having performed at iconic venues, such as NYC’s Blue Note, as well as notable tours with international dates throughout Canada, the USA, and the UK, the pair sets the bar high with their songs, music, and live shows.

"Our mission is to share the music that inspired us through the songs we’ve written and the covers we’ve reimagined," said guitarist Kraster, elaborating upon the pair’s evolving performance.

There could perhaps be no more perfect local stage than the listening room at Fogartyville for live music fans to experience ARIELLA. The group continues to pave the path forward through their musical journey, sharing a conviction that great music is not read from a script, but is real life transcribed into a vibe, a performative celebration of what it means to be alive.

"Passionate music performed with intimate and honest lyrics," Kraster described the pair’s intention. "We believe audiences yearn to explore the farthest reaches of what music can offer."

With apt comparisons to the transcendent fragility of Etta James, Patsy Cline, and Amy Winehouse, tenured jazz critic, Jonathan Widran, dubbed ARIELLA’s repertoire, "Raw and soulful, beautifully combining a sense of defiant assertiveness and wounded vulnerability."

Skope Magazine lauded McManus’ vocal delivery as careful and compassionate, "By going for her own unique style, she is without peer."
