Allilea C. Williams, 79, Bradenton, died June 8, 2015.

Born in Rockford, IL she moved to Bradenton from Lufkin, TX, she was a Methodist and she owned the Old Town Restaurant of Smackover, AR.

Predeceased by parents, Clell E. and Annabelle (Aycock) Burkey and husband, Gene Douglas, Sr.; survived by son, Doug (Libby) of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Joyce P. Phillips of Dallas, TX; sister, Ruth Peterson of Macon, MO; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

Ramona Keith, 83, Palmetto, died June 8, 2015.

Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia she moved to Bradenton in 1990 from Huntington, WV and then moved to Palmetto, FL in 2002.

Survived by husband, Junior of Palmetto, FL; son, Joseph of Naples, FL; Daughters, Christine (Brent) Walker of Huntington, WV; brothers, Paul Watson, Jr. of Lumberport, WV and Donald Watson of Shinnston, WV; sisters, Shirley Simmons of Shinnston, WV and Mary Lou Crouthers of Lumberport, WV; grandchildren, Brandie, Darth and Joshua; great grandchildren, Reilly and Skylar.

Ruth Stone, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 6, 2015, in Sun City Center, Florida.

She was 88 years old and is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Jim) and Pam (Rick); grandchildren, Grant (Ashlei), Brad, Chris (Angela) and Emily; great grandchildren, Nick, Noah, Ethan, Eric, Elijah and Luke.

Mrs. Stone was originally from West Frankfort, IL and was a longtime resident of Bradenton, FL. She was retired from the Merrillville, IN School System. She will be missed, loved and remembered by her family and friends.

James Thomas Michaels, 91, Bradenton, died June 5, 2015.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland he moved to Bradenton in 1986 from Baltimore County. A Veteran of the US Army during World War II, he was a graduate of Patterson Park High School, received his M.B.A. from Loyola College, was a Hospital Administration Consultant, and was a member of both the Baltimore, MD and Bradenton, FL Yacht Clubs. He loved boating and fishing.

Predeceased by his parents, James G. and Helen (Koch) Michaels; survived by wife of 72 years, Elvina of Bradenton, FL; son, James T., II (Charlene) of Bradenton, FL; half-sister, Eleanor Krajewski of Towson, MD; grandson, Brian of Citrus Heights, CA.

Born in Detroit, Michigan he moved to Bradenton in 1968, he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Sarasota Silent Flyers.

Preston Bernard Campbell, 50, of Sarasota, Fl, passed away May 29, 2015. 

Preston is survived by three sons: Preston, Jr., Michael and James Ammons; one daughter: Anatashia; two sisters: Brenda Jackson and Mamie Taylor; and one brother: Olden Gordon.

Nick Coros, 55 of Valparaiso passed away May 17, 2015 at the VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso.  

He was born June 12, 1959 in Gary, IN, the son of Mike and Fran Coros.  

He is survived by his children, Nicole Charles, Natalie Williams, and Reese Coros; mother, Fran Coros; sister, Michele (Boyce) Reeves; brother, Deno (Lori) Coros; 3 grandchildren, Brayden and Logan Charles and Sophia Williams; and his 2 Labradors, Toby and Tailor; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  

Nick was preceded in death by his father, Mike and brother, Michael.  

Nick loved his country and was a Veteran of the Gulf War and Desert Storm, where he served as a U.S. Army Sergeant to Special Armed Forces. He grew up in Miller, a 1977 graduate of William A. Wirt High School, most recently residing in Tennessee.  

Nick was a free spirit and loved spending time at the beach, riding his Harley, and spending time with his dogs.

A Celebration of Nick’s life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Heartland Christian Center 170 S. St. Rd. 49, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the VNA Horton Hospice Center, 2401 Valley Dr., Valparaiso 46383.

 

Andrew (Andy) G. Guba passed away on February 8, 2015, in Bradenton Florida.

He was an active member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Cleveland Ohio. After serving in the Army as a member of the 17th infantry unit at Camp Kaiser, Korea, Andrew returned to Ohio where he established a career in Insurance.

He was licensed in life, health, and Property and Casualty, as well as having earned the designations for a CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and a ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant). Additionally he was licensed for securities having completed the requirements for Series 7. He was respected and admired by his peers.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Andrew and Anna Guba; and his brother, Paul Guba. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia (nee Marshall) and their five children, Daniel (wife, Chris) of Indianapolis IN; Thomas (wife, Deborah) of Wesley Chapel FL; Joellen Holzer (husband, Greg) of Yorktown, IN; Virginia Schuler of Plantation, FL; and Sallyann Althoff (husband, Rick) of Noblesville, IN; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; his sister, Arlene Buck of Parma, OH and his sister-in-law, Nancy Guba of Cape Coral, FL.

Andrew will be Memorialized at St. Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church in Bradenton on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at a 9:30am Mass. Interment immediately following in the church’s Memorial Garden.
