Moore Announces Candidacy for Bradenton City Council Ward 4

Posted
BRADENTON – Lisa Gonzalez Moore has announced her candidacy for the City of Bradenton's Ward 4 City Council seat in the upcoming citywide general election on November 8.

Moore, along with her husband and four children, have been residents of Ward 4 for over 12 years. She and her husband moved to the Sarasota/Bradenton area after meeting as students at the University of Florida in the late 1990s.

Moore said she is running to ensure that the city builds the essential infrastructure and engages in prudent planning as it welcomes new residents and visitors to "the friendly city."

"My family has grown with Bradenton in the two decades since we moved to the area to begin our careers after graduating from law school. With two teenagers about to embark on their own journeys outside of Bradenton, my desire is that we set the stage for Bradenton to flourish so that my children desire to come back home to build their careers and raise their families," said Moore."We can't do that without a dedicated and concerted effort to invest in infrastructure, including accessible housing, across all five Wards within the City so that all of its residents benefit."

Moore has volunteered for community and non-profit organizations in Bradenton and Manatee County. In addition to appointed leadership positions with various legal industry organizations such as the Manatee chapters of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and American Inn of Court, Moore has served in leadership positions and as a volunteer for the Manatee County Library Foundation, The Magic of Mittens, Inc., her children's schools, and the educational volunteer programs with the Manatee Chamber of Commerce and the Manatee County Bar Association

Moore is the sole attorney and founder of LGM Law, PLLC, in which her practice focuses on real estate and business law. Her practice strives to aid a spectrum of clients from commercial development to first-time homeowners and small business owners.

Moore said that through her practice she learned how limited available options are for current and future residents and how infrastructure is in "dire" need of repair and investment.
