DeSantis knew about the state park projects well in advance. According to the Tampa Bay Times article he fast-tracked a swap of 324 acres Withlacoohe state forest to Cabot Citus, a neighboring golf resort. Cabot is to expand their resort. There was no discussion at the DeSantis meeting about environmental impact or public input. It was on purpose that the two “projects “ were launched separately. I believe the state park project was a cover for the swap.
