Very well done and well written. Thank you. Our parks have been neglected for too long and for far too long have relied on volunteers to do work that is beyond the capacity of Rangers and other staff. Most of the volunteers are out of state snowbirds who use volunteerism to get around the rule of two week stays within the parks. With 28 million visitors generating $3.9 billion per year in revenue, I don’t see why budgets need to be as low as they are. If DeSantis really wants to improve park attendance, he does need to follow the steps you have outlined in your article. thank you again
