BRADENTON – On Monday, September 23, Feeding Empty Little Tummies (FELT) will host their 2nd annual golf classic at the Ritz Carlton Golf Course. FELT provides backpacks filled with food to homeless children in the Manatee County School District, many of whom do not have regular access to food outside of school-served meals.
The benefit tournament gives golf fanatics a dream opportunity to play the award-winning Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, while helping a very worthy cause. The Tom Fazio-designed, 18-hole championship course is a par 72, located in Lakewood Ranch on 315 acres of lush, tropical landscape with no real estate development.
The $125 entry fee includes Ritz green fee, cart, practice balls, a "Ritzy" cookout buffet, prizes and a silent auction. If you're not a golfer, for a $50 donation to FELT, you can enjoy the buffet and silent auction. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. Shotgun start is at 8:30 a.m.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Major sponsors' name will be on the scoreboard, website, newsletter, and signage. Call 941.896.5483 for more information on how your business can get valuable exposure while helping a good cause.
FELT is a non-profit that prides itself on utilizing 100 percent of all funds raised on feeding children. All efforts are volunteer and not a single cent goes to salaried employees or administrative costs. For more information, visit their website.
