5th Annual Pirates Pep Rally Saturday in Downtown Bradenton

BRADENTON – The Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton Marauders will hold their 5th annual Pirates Pep Rally on Saturday. The free event will run from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m on Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton. Players and coaches will be on hand. There will be plenty of activities and entertainment for fans of all ages.

There will be autograph sessions with players and a photo booth. Manager of the Year Clint Hurdle and other Pirate officials will speak at the event.

The schedule for the evening includes family games, face painting, prize giveaways, fantastic food and a D.J. Several community organizations will be represented.

Old Main Street will close to vehicles at 3 p.m.; parking is available in the public lot at the corner of Old Main Street and Third Avenue or in the parking garage on 12th Street West across the street from the Bank of America building.

Bradenton has been the Spring Training home of the Pirates since 1969. The Marauders, Pittsburgh’s High-A affiliate, have called McKechnie Field home since 2010.
