Palmetto, Florida - Ada Shiver McPherson 78, of Palmetto, Florida, passed away on January 11, 2024, at Manatee Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 9, 1946, in Bradenton, Florida.
She was a lifelong resident of Manatee County and a fourth generation Floridian. Ada retired from the Manatee County School Board.
Ada is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Luther (LP) McPherson Jr., her daughters, Kimberly (Scott) Overfelt, Tammy (Robby) Stinton, Rhonda (Kirt) Aylward, eight grandchildren, Ashley, Chloe, Robby Jr., Hannah, Austin, Loma, Summer and Zander, five great-grandchildren, Eli, Noah, Brighton, Jubilee and Canaan, her brother, Ernest (Janice) Shiver and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Shiver, mother, Ruth Shiver, sister, Betty Ann Pearson, brothers, Richard Shiver and Arthur Shiver Sr.
Ada enjoyed quilting, shopping, cooking and traveling to see family and friends. She always made time to care for her beloved dogs and cats.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 20th, 2024 10:00 AM at Forward Community Church of God, located at 209 7th St W, Palmetto, FL.
Ada will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
