Mother Addie Yawn was a loving, compassionate person and a Caregiver. She was born May 22, 1942 to the Late Willie Jackson and Rosa Lee Jackson in Georgia.
She attended Lincoln Memorial High School in Palmetto, FL.
Mother Yawn married Deacon Johnny October 1960 and to this union was born four children.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age, and became a member of Mt. Raymond Missionary Baptist Church under the Leadership of Rev. Mose Newsome. Mother
Yawn served faithfully under the leadership of Rev. Newsome, Rev. E. Scott, Rev. G. W. Warren, Pastor S, D. Pollard and Bishop Jason A. Williams until her health prevented her. Mother Yawn
served in many capacities at the church, showing love and willing to do whatever she can.
Mother Yawn would call the sick to check on their progress. She assisted with Sunday School, Communion, assisted in the Home Mission Ministry, was a Deaconess and Church Mother.
Mother Yawn was proceeded in death by her mother and father, five brothers: George Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Bennie Jackson, Moses Jackson, Willie Jackson, two sisters: Rosa Mae and
Willie Mae; daughter Teresa.
She leaves to cherish her memories husband: Deacon Johnny Yawn Jr.; three sons: Frederick, Harry, Ted; daughter/niece: Felicia Cardwell; five sisters-in-law: Vera Taylor; Glady Calvin,
Joyce Robinson, Diane Mitchell, Stella Vauss (John); two -brother-in-laws, Archie Curry (Annie Pearl) and Samuel Yawn (Joyce);
six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
