Methuen, Massachusetts - Allison R. (Hall) Cole of Methuen, Massachusetts, passed comfortably at home after a fierce battle with cancer. She died embraced by her husband, and with her beloved cat, and other dear family members nearby. True to her nature, she never gave up and fought with everything she had to the very end.
Allison grew up in Bradenton, Florida. After graduating from Manatee High School, she obtained a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. After college, she met the love of her life and soulmate, A. Sterling Cole. They became engaged and moved to Boston to begin a life together.
Allison earned a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. After being admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, Allison began a 20-year career with the Housing Court Department of the Massachusetts Trial Court. She joined the Housing Court as a Law Clerk to the Justices of the Boston (now Eastern) Division and later served as the Housing Court's Administrative Attorney. In 2014, Allison was appointed as an Assistant Clerk-Magistrate with the Northeast Division of the Housing Court and later served as the Division's First Assistant Clerk-Magistrate. In 2019, the Honorable Charles D. Baker Jr., then Governor of Massachusetts, appointed Allison as Clerk-Magistrate of the Northeast Division. She was a member of the Lawrence Bar Association and the Massachusetts Association of Magistrates and Assistant Clerks. As a member of MAMAC, she served on the organization's Education Committee.
Allison was passionate about her career and found great professional and personal happiness serving the litigants of the Housing Court. She truly believed that it was an honor and privilege to work in the public sector. Allison's greatest joy, however, was embarking on new adventures with her husband, whether traveling, road racing, or discovering new culinary experiences.
