Alton Graham Newson was born on June 16, 1964, in Bradenton, FL to the late Daisy Graham Newson and Printis Newson, Sr. He attended Manatee High School and worked for his father at Newson Developing Service, the City of Sarasota and Waste Management. Alton was a member of Pathways Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Dr. Willie Holley. Alton loved to talk and never met a stranger and enjoyed making his rounds driving through the neighborhood.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Graham; brothers, Jerome Crawford, Carlton Fields, and Michael Newson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: brothers, Printis Newson, Jr. (Maggie), Willie Newson, and Gregory Newson; sisters, Rhonda Graham, Reverend Elaine Baker (Dr. Reverend Jerome) of Savannah, GA, and Bobbie Lynn Jackson of Tampa, FL; nephews, Alfred Harris, III (Sherley) of Savannah, GA, Micah Harris (Iris) of Fayetteville, GA, and Jaemaal Newson; special daughter, Anajai Nunez; special friends, Felicia Jackson, Betty Denmark, Melody Frazier-Williams, Carolyn Simpson, Ashanti Barton, Mike Crawford (The Crawfords), Raymond Hawkins, and Lashay Hawkins; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
