Amanda Clare Shoaf passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, on her 27th birthday. She was born August 27, 1996, in Greenwood, IN.
Amanda grew up in Indiana. She graduated from Whiteland High School with academic honors in 2015. During her time in high school, she was a member of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) and show choir. She later graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2019, with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. After college, Amanda moved to Florida to pursue her dream of entering the hospitality industry. Soon after, she worked as an Assistant General Manager for Aimbridge Hospitality and was quickly advancing in her career.
Amanda loved all things Disney, with her favorite being the Little Mermaid. She also loved to read. Her dream was to someday open her own hotel. But above all else, Amanda loved to spend time with her family. She was very close with her mother and brother, and a lot of her free time was spent with them, whether it be going to a movie, playing a game, making memories in Disney World, or just spending time with each other. She had a funny sense of humor and was fun to be around. Amanda had a big heart and a kind soul and was always looking out for her family and friends. Thankfully, Amanda will be able to continue her role as guardian for her friends and family in Heaven.
She is survived by her mother, Christina Flint; brother, Nicholas Shoaf; step-father, Robert Cockerel; grandparents, Doug and Clare Flint; aunt and uncle, Yvonne and Andrew Davis; uncle, Doug Flint, Jr.; cousins, Ellaina Davis and Haidyn Flint; father, Russell Shoaf; sister, Christina Vinsant; and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel in Bradenton, FL, with visitation to follow. It will be a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a domestic abuse organization of your choice. Condolences may be made to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
