Andrew (Steve) Stephen Biskup Jr., 71, passed away on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023 in Bradenton, Florida. Steve was born in Elyria, Ohio on April 15th, 1952 to Andrew & Patricia (Kaiser) Biskup.
He resided in Elyria, Ohio until he was 17, when he joined the US Army. Steve was part of the 82nd Airborne Division during his 4 years in the service. He returned to Elyria for a few years before relocating to Bradenton Florida in 1976.
Steve met Tammy Ann Zigler while living in Florida and went on to marry her on November 3rd, 1979. They welcomed their son, Joshua Biskup, into this world on January 19, 1981. Steve worked as a mechanic.
He was a transmission rebuilder for Manny's Transmission, Sarasota, for 35 years before retiring. He loved to tinker, fix, and rebuild anything he could. He always had a thirst for knowledge and had many different hobbies. One of his favorites was fishing and being on the water. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his wife, Tammy (d. 2020); mother, Patricia; and bother Kevin. He is survived by his son, Joshua; brother, Anthony; sister, Lorraine; and father, Andrew Sr.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life ceremony in Bradenton as well as Elyria. Location and time will be announced soon.
