Palmetto, Florida - Ann Marie Marshall, 84 of Palmetto, passed away peacefully Friday morning November 15, 2024. Born February 8, 1940 in Ithaca, NY, Ann retired from the United States Air Force where she was a Physical Therapist and achieved the rank of Major.
After retiring Ann moved to Palmetto Florida in 1986 where she was a Life Member of the Retired Officers Association, the American Legion and the Woman's Club of Palmetto. Ann was a active member or the Palmetto First United Methodist Church, a Perpetual Member of the Palmetto Historical Commission and a member of the Friends of Palmetto Library. Ann also spent many years volunteering at the Manatee County Fair and with Just For Girls in Palmetto.
Ann is predeceased by her parents Edward and Helen Marshall as well as her sisters Janet Willis, Carol Walsh and brother Edward Jr who passed at an early age. Ann is survived by her sister Sherry Marshall (Marfisi), her husband Dominic and and several nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews and her many friends from Ithaca and Palmetto. A celebration of Life will take place in New York in Summer 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5595 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238.
