Anne-Heather Atkins 86, of Bradenton, transitioned into her new heavenly home on November 12, 2023. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her daughters and sons-in law. Anne was born August 4, 1937, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late James McPhee and former Ethel G. Rowlands.

Anne graduated from Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont in music education. She grew up in Holmdel, New Jersey. She had a huge love for animals, and had a beloved horse named Tom growing up. She began her career working for New Jersey Bell Telephone, and she retired as a homemaker in 1968.

She moved to Redding, Connecticut in 1973. She was devoted to directing the Children's choir at the First Church of Christ, Congregational in Redding, Connecticut. She was a long-time member of the Charles Pope Choristers in Redding, Ct.

She moved to Sarasota, Fl in 1990. She was a member of the Caledonian Club in Sarasota, Fl. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bradenton, Fl and was a member of the choir. She was a member of the Bay Chorale in Bradenton, Fl. She was a volunteer for the Pelican Man in Sarasota, Fl., and the Bearded Collie rescue of Florida.

Anne is preceded by her husband of 46 years, Clarence B. Atkins. Surviving Anne is her two daughters, Jennifer Atkins-Stone (Edward) of Bradenton, FL, and Laurie Atkins-Moulliet (Scott) of Sarasota, FL; sister, Bonnie J. Kline of Hampton, ME.

There will be a private ceremony with family in Sarasota, FL, and Holmdel, NJ at a later date. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207, is in charge of arrangements.
