Annie Ruth Moreland-Williams-Fobbs was born November 19, 1940 in Zebulon, Georgia; Pike County to the late Reverend Robert Carl and Blanche Curtis Moreland both of Zebulon. Her family relocated to Sun City, Florida in early 1941. As an adult Annie settled in Palmetto, Florida where she remained until she answered the Lord's call on October 19, 2025.
Annie attended Manatee County Schools. She served as a cook at Lincoln Memorial High School where she retired after 34 years of service.
Annie was a devoted mother to her four children, who were the pride and joy of her life. She dedicated her life to her family, always there with a listening ear and a warm embrace. Her love and support shaped her children's lives, and she will be remembered for the joy she brought to them Annie accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and she has faithfully served in local ministries during the past 50+ years. At the time of her home going she served at First Baptist Church of Palmetto under the leadership of Pastor Phillip Ham.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Fobbs, her loving parents Reverend Robert Carl and Blanche Moreland, her baby boy Dwight A. Williams Sr., her siblings Mary Lee, Addie Goddard, Nora Beatrice Works, Effie Newsome-Etheridge, William Henry Moreland Sr. and Edward Moreland.
Annie is survived by her loving children: Charlene Young, Emerson Murray Sr. (Annette) and Charles Williams Jr. (JoAnne) Brother: Johnny Lewis Moreland (Robin)
