Posted

Anthony F. Raniere Sr., passed away peacefully in Florida on October 12, 2025. Born on February 3, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York; he is survived by his mother, Helen Raniere; his brother, Joseph A. Raniere Jr. (Patti); his children: Scott Raniere, Anthony Raniere Jr., Kelly Shaver, Jonathan Raniere, Shane Raniere, and Destiny Prater: and his twelve grandchildren, Anneliese, Kaitlin, Aidan, Rachel, Wesley, Alora, Allison, Jacob, Marlee, Braden, Connor, and Autymn. He graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After his education, Anthony served his country with distinction as a Marine Corp Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Specialist. Following his military service, Anthony continued to serve his community as a postal worker and record store owner. An avid collector and bargain hunter, he liked nothing better than unearthing that rare record, unique piece of movie memorabilia or special gift for one of his grandchildren. Anthony's love for acting never waned.

He took parts in local repertory theater and as an extra in Western movies. His passion for movies and music remained a constant source of pleasure and inspiration, and he often shared this love with his family and friends. He was a man of exceptional insight and steadfast beliefs who, throughout his life, maintained the courage of his deeply held convictions. So, as we remember our father, grandfather, brother and son, Anthony, we celebrate a life that touched many others in profound and lasting ways.

We are comforted to know that you are at peace now. Fly high...... second star to the right and straight on till morning.
