Arthur Donald "Donnie" Dole, 80, of Palmetto, Florida, passed away peacefully in his home on January 14th, 2024, surrounded by family and in the arms of his loving wife of 51 years, Linda (Kay) Dole.
Donnie was born in Bradenton, FL and was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Nell Dole and his sisters, Marsha Littlefield and Delores Maxwell. Donnie graduated from Palmetto High School and took over the family's Palmetto business, Dole's Wrecker Service and farm equipment repair, which he operated until retirement.
Donnie leaves behind five children, (Jennifer Massie, Bill Dole, Lee (Kristi) Dole, Shelly Dole, and Dalynn Townsend), five grandchildren, (Annice, Cade, Robert, Maya, Eilee, and Avelyn) and two great-grandchildren, (Michael and Harlow).
Donnie worked hard and was a generous friend, always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed tending to his garden and livestock, fishing for mullet in his johnboat, hunting at his North Florida camp, and chatting fireside with friends and family.
His family invites you to a casual Celebration of Life, Saturday, January 20th, 2024 from 2-4 PM at Seabreeze Park, Terra Ceia Island. In lieu of flowers, please come share a story and a laugh.
