Manatee's Willie Smith will be in action Friday Night

BRADENTON – It's the last weekend before Christmas, but there's still plenty happening. The best high school football players in the county are showcased at the 21st Annual PAL Bowl Senior All-Star Game this Friday night at Southeast High School. Santa Claus is back at the Red Barn Flea Market and north of the bridge, The Palmetto Farmer's market will be back this Sunday. Let's go on a Weekend Adventure in Bradenton!

The 21st Annual Brad Price Memorial PAL Bowl All-star senior game is set for this Friday, December 21, 2012 at Southeast High School in Bradenton. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. This is your chance to come out and see the very best prep football players in Manatee and Sarasota Counties square off for area bragging rights. The first 20 match-ups have been split evenly among the two talented counties (Game Prieview)

Southeast's legendary coach Paul Maechtle will lead the Manatee squad, while his former player and current ODA coach Brett Timons will coach Sarasota.

Santa is back at the Red Barn this weekend. On Friday and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids can visit with Santa for free in the main food court. While you're there, you can find that special gift for that hard to shop for person on your list. With over 600 vendors, the Red Barn has everything! Weekend hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Red Barn Flea Market is located at 1707 1st Street, Bradenton.


On Sunday, get over to the Palmetto Farmer's Market for farm fresh vegetables, fresh baked goods, hand squeezed lemonade, crafts, and much, much, more! Olde Main Street in downtown Palmetto offers old world charm and a relaxing environment perfect for visiting with friends, or stopping to rest. Our quaint street includes a charming gift store, delightful boutique and mouth watering restaurants all within walking distance. At the end of your visit, take a leisurely stroll down to the marina and enjoy the view and breeze by the water.
