BRADENTON -- Halloween's over, but the fun is still hanging around. This weekend marks the 7th annual Festival of Skeletons for Dia de los Muertos in the Village of the Arts. Southeast travels to Palmetto for the District Championship game and Rotary's 26th Annual Taste of Manatee will celebrate its first year on the new Riverwalk. Grab your feedbag: it's time for a Weekend Adventure in Bradenton!

Football season is winding down but the playoffs are almost hear. Southeast and Palmetto battle for the crown, while Manatee looks to keep their perfect season intact and Lakewood Ranch battles to keep its playoff hopes alive.

The 26th Annual Rotary’s Taste of Manatee is scheduled for 11 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Saturday and 11-6 p.m. Sunday on the newly renovated Bradenton RiverWalk. “The Taste” features more than 30 vendors offering a variety of culinary delights from local restaurants and beyond along the Manatee River, in addition to live music, adult beverages and games for children.

There is no charge to attend the event. This is the first time the event—which is one of the largest fund-raisers in Manatee County—will occur at the new Riverwalk.

The 7th Annual Dia de los Muertos Festival of the Skeletons will take place Friday November 2, 6- 9:30 p.m. and Saturday November 3, 11-4:00 p.m. in the Village of the Arts. There will be a wide array of Mexican Music and Food available for purchase.

The event will include a Village Community Shrine Honoring Freida Kahlo, a memory wall for loved ones, an Artist’s Skeleton Walk, a Freida Kahlo Look Alike Contest and more. Get over to the village for what is always a fun and original event.
