BRADENTON - A November bird tour through the Robinson Preserve will introduce people to the avian life there.
The county's Natural Resources Department said in a press release that it will be partnering with the Manatee Audubon Society to hold a bird walk from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Participants will join Birder David Williamson for a three-hour walk through the preserve. The stroll will introduce participants to bird watching basics, including identification by sight, sound and behavior. This program provides visitors with an opportunity to see many of the birds that inhabit the preserve year-round as well as the migrant species that stop at the conservation property on their annual journey to warmer climates.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars.
Reservations are not required.
