Barbara Joan White, lovingly known as Barb, passed away on April 30, 2026.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Charles “Charlie” White.
Born in Kenmore, New York, Barb graduated from Charlotte High School in 1969 and went on to earn her Associate of Science in Nursing from Manatee Junior College.
She dedicated 32 years of her life as a registered charge nurse at Manatee Memorial Hospital, where she was respected for her compassion, skill and steady leadership.
nvolved in Golden Retriever rescue and other related organizations. They were also longtime John Denver fans and proudly served as fan club staff members.
In more recent years, they found joy in dock diving with their beloved golden, “Mac”.
Barb will be remembered as a cherished wife, loyal friend and guiding mentor to many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17th at 1:00PM at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes, 5624 26th St. W., Bradenton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Cancer Study in Barbara’s honor.
