Barbara L. Hoskins was born on February 8, 1934, in Kingsbury, Indiana, and passed away on May 19, 2026, in Bradenton, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and steadfast devotion to her family and her Lord.
Barbara lived a life marked by grace, humility, and quiet strength. She was a Christian woman whose faith guided her steps through every season of life, and she sought to reflect the love of Christ in the way she cared for others.
Family was at the center of Barbara’s heart. She deeply enjoyed family life and treasured the time she spent with those she loved. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and comfort, and where cherished memories were made. Barbara found great happiness in cooking and baking, and she expressed her care for others through the meals and treats she prepared for birthday celebrations and holidays. Her kitchen was often a place of gathering, where love was shared as much as food.
Barbara also had a special appreciation for working with flowers and worked part-time helping others care for them. She delighted in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her heart. She loved watching her family grow and was grateful for every moment spent with them.
She will be remembered for the way she made others feel cared for and valued. Her example will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Barbara is preceded in death by her son, David, and her husband, Wayne. Though she is no longer present in body, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and in the family who will forever hold her close in memory. Those who carry on her legacy are daughter, Barbara (Roger) Ketterman, daughter Debra (Blair) Smith, and son Daniel (Karen) Hoskins. She has six grandchildren, Ryan (Monica) Ketterman & Summer Mays, Rory & Tyler (Lindsey) Smith, and Zachary (Jessica) & Parker Hoskins, and ten great-grandchildren, Isabel & Oliva Ketterman, Kyla, Kierra & Leon Mays, Adelaide & Eleanor Smith, and Logan, Everleigh & Olivia Hoskins.
