Barbara T. Marx, formerly of Schenectady NY passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on November 10, 2025, in Bradenton, FL. Born on March 8, 1934, in Gloversville, NY, Barbara's life was a testament to her generous spirit and unwavering faith.
Barbara's early years were spent in the close-knit community of Scotia where she attended Scotia-Glenville High School. Post-graduation, Barbara embarked on a fulfilling career as a secretary at General Electric in the research and development division. She was a remarkable care giver to her husband and later in life she worked at Anthony's Clothing Store and volunteered at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
In her personal life, Barbara enjoyed caring for her family. Always a warm and inviting atmosphere with a home cooked meal and holidays were always special. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Brandy Smith Snyder and Devan Salati, and trips to Portland to visit Alexander and Elijah Marx. Her legacy continued with the birth of her great-grandchildren, Alaaya, Jenna, Asher, and Carter. Those who knew Barbara will remember her as dedicated, kind, funny and determined.
She was an avid dog lover and her pride and joy was her chihuahua Honey. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her.
