Harwich, Massachusetts - Barbara Ann (Santoian) Tomasian, 85, of Worcester, MA, Harwich, MA, and Bradenton, FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, on February 19, 2024.

She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Sherman Santoian, her mother, Betty Santoian, and her life partner, Steve Erwin. Barbara leaves behind her 3 children, Tommy Tomasian III of Harwich, MA, Greg Tomasian and his wife, Carmen of Harwich, MA, and Lauren Tomasian and her life partner, Tim Collins of North Kingstown, RI. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Adam, Amy, Lucy, Tommy IV, Osanna, Ian, Evan, and Aaron, her great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Eli, and Isaac, her five nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, as well as her dog, Max.

Barbara graduated from Clark University in Worcester, MA in 1960. In 1970 she and her former husband, Dr. Thomas Tomasian, Jr. relocated his dental practice to the Cape and settled in Harwich, MA with their three young children, and quickly became a part of the community. Her family always came first, and her friends were an equal second. She enjoyed tennis, skiing, traveling the world, socializing at the beach, cooking, and entertaining. She belonged to various clubs throughout her lifetime, including Harwich Junior Women's Club and Cape Cod Ski Club. She enjoyed volunteering for Cub Scouts of America, American Field Service, Harwich Chamber of Commerce, and in the Harwich School system. Barbara was proud of her Armenian heritage and shared recipes and traditions with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her generosity to others, incredible cooking, and bringing people together for celebrations and holidays. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, Blute Chapel 678 Main Street, Harwich, MA.
