Bradenton, Florida - Belinda Jane Foy Ferguson was born February 13, 1939, in Portland, Maine. She moved to Bradenton from Hickam Field, Oahu, Hawaii in 1947. After graduating from Manatee High, Belinda attended Meredith College and graduated from the University of North Carolina. She enjoyed a career teaching Spanish.

Belinda was married for 63 years to the love of her life, Rev. Harry M. Ferguson. She was an extraordinary mother to her daughter, Melissa Jane (Anthony Rowell), and twin boys, Mason and Frank Ferguson. Belinda was "Nana" to her grandchildren: Jane Ashley Rowell, Tyler, and Tiffany Ferguson.

As a Presbyterian minister's wife, Belinda taught Sunday School and served churches with her many talents. She enjoyed traveling the world and making new friends. Belinda died at age 85 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

She is predeceased by her mother, Jane Inman Foy Burnett, father, Lt. Col. John Frank Foy, and stepfather, W. Milton Burnett, Jr.

A service celebrating Belinda's entrance into the Church Triumphant was held at First Presbyterian Church of Bradenton on October 18, 2024, and followed by burial at Fogartyville Cemetery.
