Betty MacClinchy

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty B. MacClinchy, 86, who died peacefully on June 23, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida.

Betty was the loving wife of David C. MacClinchy. The two were high school sweethearts and were married for 45 years before David's passing in 2001. Betty was a devoted member of the United Presbyterian Church, where she had been active since 1963. She also worked as a cashier at Publix, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service.

Betty loved to travel and enjoyed exploring the country with her family and friends. She visited memorable places such as Ohio, Alaska, and Scotland. She especially cherished family dinners with her children and lively card games with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Todd A. MacClinchy and Penny A. (William R. Baker); daughter-in-law, Wanda MacClinchy; grandchildren, Michael D. Baker (Carla Guerra), Millis Johnson (Jeannie), and Jeremiah Johnson; great-grandchildren, Alivia (Hunter Billings), Millis Johnson, Emma Johnson, and Sierra Johnson; and great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Elaina.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, David C. MacClinchy, and her son, Scott D. MacClinchy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, 43rd St. Chapel, 604 43rd St. W., Bradenton, FL 34209.
