BRADENTON --Ace's Lounge will be hosting Biscuit Miller & The Mix, a funky, bluesy soul band this Saturday, July 26 at 9 p.m.

David "Biscuit" Miller is the talented bass player of the group. He is the winner of the 2012 Blues Music Award for Bassist of the Year and the second place winner for the bassist category of the Blues Matters International Writers Poll.

On the drums is Dr. Love, who started playing drums at age 10. Bringing his own charisma and style to The Mix, Dr. Love is sure to keep the rhythm going and your feet tapping all night.

Bobby B is the rhythm guitarist and background vocalist of the band. Voted Blues Man of the Month in May 1999 by the Kalamazoo Valley Blues Association, his 25-year musical background includes gospel, R&B, blues, and theatre.

"Southside" Alex Smith will be playing guitar in The Mix, and is the newest addition to the band. Having shared the stage with Chicago legends Buddy Guy and Eddy Shaw, among others, Southside is sure to add his own funk to the ingredients in The Mix.

Biscuit Miller & The Mix are on the road with his latest CD "Blues With a Smile," and will definitely bring a smorgasbord of funky talent to Ace's Lounge this Saturday night. Tickets are $12 at the door, $10 in advance.
