Bobbie Jean Dever, 92, of Bradenton, FL, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, at Surrey Place Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Bradenton, FL, surrounded by her loving family. Bobbie was born on July 25, 1932, to the late Robert K. and Jessie (nee: James) Leffue.
Bobbie was a bookkeeper upon retiring and an exceptional one at that. She was part of several organizations including the New Floridians, several bridge clubs, the Women's Club of Palmetto and the Beta Sigma Phi.
She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Lesa Dever in 2006. Bobbie is survived by her loving husband. Fred Dever; sons, Kenny (Emily) Scarberry, Mark (Nanette) Scarberry, Scott (Mary) Scarberry; stepdaughter, Sheri Dever; brother-in-law, Ronnie and sister-in-law, Ilona Dever; special cousin-in-law, Chuck (Lourdes) Foster and six grandchildren. Bobbie also leaves behind her good friends and neighbors, Mark and Rhonda, and her favorite hairdresser and best friend, Nancy (Neil) VanWormer.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2200 26th St. West, Bradenton, FL 34205, with Pastor Bobbie Blackburn to officiate.
