BRADENTON - A series of workshops will help those looking for work understand the local job market, create a resume and prepare for a job interview.
State College of Florida is sponsoring the Job Seekers Boot Camp, the city said in a press release. It's a series of four evening workshops in conjunction with Community Capital and the Bradenton Central Community Redevelopment Agency. Experts from SCF will be available to provide training and share their knowledge of resume writing, interview techniques and job-search strategies.
Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of a job search. Participants may attend any workshop. The fee for each workshop is $29.
All classes will be held at the Central CRA headquarters, 302 Manatee Ave. E., Suite 301.
The classes are:
What's New in the Job Market?, 6:30-9:30 p.m., Nov. 2.
Networking for a New Job, 6:30-9:30 p.m., Nov. 9.
Resumes That Work, 6:30-9:30 p.m., Nov. 16.
Job Interview Secrets, 6:30-9:30 p.m., Nov. 23.
