Braden River Kayak and Americana Music Fest Launches Saturday at the Linger Lodge

BRADENTON – Gator Productions will present the 1st annual Braden River Kayak and Americana Music Fest at the Linger Lodge this Saturday from 12-7 p.m. on the wonderful Braden River. For only $10 you can enjoy an entire day of genuine old Florida.

The music line-up will include national recording artist Ronny Elliott along with world renowned finger picking wizard George Worthmore. Also scheduled to play will be Scotty Lee Rexroat (aka Treble Hook), Swamp Donkie, Singer Songwriter Diana Catherine Oakley, Steve Arvey with Rebecca Bird, Carly Bak and The Tangled Mango’s.

The gates will open at 9 a.m. to let people start Kayaking on the Braden River. The Legendary Captain Kirk will be at the event with his Awesome Crab Dip! Stop by his booth and get a taste of the best Crab Dip in Florida.

Linger Lodge began as a campground in 1945. Frank and Elaine Gamsky came down from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with their family and purchased Linger Lodge in 1968. The Lodge features a few rare and unusual "Florida Animals" among its collection.

The Jackalope sits in its case not far from a Blue Billed Ortholock. The Alaskan Fur Fish is also on display. Frank was an avid animal lover, and promotes the protection of animals as one of our most important natural resources. Visit the event's Facebook Page for more info.
