Bradenton" Author to Sign Copies at PAC

BRADENTON -- Local enthusiasts will get their first chance for a signed copy of the recently released Bradenton: Images of America Series book by TBT"s own Merab-Michal Favorite during her book signing event on April 5 at the Palmetto Art Center. Favorite, who also authored the series' Palmetto edition, will sign copies of the new edition from 5-8 p.m.

A fifth-generation Manatee County native, Merab has succeeded in capturing our local area in a way that only someone with her unique love and appreciation for it could. The book boasts more than 200 vintage images dating back to the early 1800's, from the Second Seminole War to tales of the competing villages of Manatee and Braidentown, the collection is rich in history and visual records.

The book signing will also coincide with some other exciting happenings in downtown Palmetto, including the First Fridays street event, featuring local vendors, a car show, live music and the Movie in the Park -- a free, family-friendly movie presented by the Palmetto Community Redevelopment Agency.
